NEW DISTRIBUTION MODEL FOR STUDENT SUPPLY KITS
As part of our ongoing commitment to education, The Empty Stocking Fund is updating the way we distribute Student Supply Kits.
WHAT’S CHANGING?
To expand our reach and streamline delivery, Student Supply Kits will now be distributed exclusively through school districts and individual schools, rather than through individual parent or guardian requests.
This change helps us:
- Serve a larger number of students across more communities.
- Partner more effectively with schools already working to support underserved families and invite teachers to shop at our Teacher Resource Center for classroom supplies.
HOW CAN MY CHILD’S SCHOOL PARTICIPATE?
If your child’s school is not currently partnered with The Empty Stocking Fund, you can help!

To focus our resources on getting supplies to students, we are no longer able to distribute kits directly to families or respond to individual parent requests.
If your child needs supplies, the best next step is to nominate their school and encourage the school to register. We’re here to support schools in reaching the students who need it most. ESF will not be able to respond to direct parent inquiries regarding the school supply program.
WHICH SCHOOLS ARE ELIGIBLE?
To ensure we remain focused on those with the greatest need:
- Only schools receiving Title I funding are eligible to receive Student Supply Kits.
- Kits are provided on a first-come, first-served basis as our resources allow.
WHICH SCHOOLS ARE CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING?
DeKalb County Schools
All DeKalb residents can sign up for the Back-to-School Rally with the DeKalb School District on July 26th. This page will be updated soon with the sign-up link once it is released.
Atlanta Public Schools
